"An American Idiot"

Iré a ver el musical "An American Idiot."  El musical está basado en el album del mismo nombre de Green Day.  "An American Idiot" salió al mercado en septiembre de 2004, y capta el descontento y frustración ante el estatus quo de la sociedad estadounidense durante el primer mandato de George. W. Bush. El tema principal nos recuerda el estado de histeria y paranoia creado por los medios de comunicación y su papel instrumental en lograr que las masas justificaran lo injustificable: la guerra de Iraq.

Information age of hysteria.
It's calling out to idiot America.
(An American Idiot, GD).

Las reseñas sobre el musical han sido mixtas. Iré a verlo abierta a todas las posibilidades, y dispuesta a dejarme seducir por su personaje principal, "The Jesus of Suburbia". Espero me haga sentir su angustia, y me lleve de la mano a través de su viaje redentor al abandonar la seguridad suburbana en la que siempre ha vivido.
